The 1st annual Epik domain development conference launches on Sept. 15-17, 2010 accompanying innovative ideas and solutions for domain investors. Rob Monster is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Epik and Managing Director of Monster Venture Partners, LLC. The much talked about conference focuses on successful monetization through domain name development and aims to teach attendees to learn to “acquire quality domains, develop ecommerce sites that convert, manage your online business, divest to realize maximum profit”.
For the past 2 years the domain industry has been patiently waiting for the entrepreneur that can couple the right funding, experience, resources & business acumen to create a platform for mass domain development. Epik has positioned itself very well to take this industry by storm via domain acquisitions, acquiring businesses such as devrich.com & by tapping the growing demand of media independence. Rob is creating the largest network of developed sites on the web and domainers are loving every minute of it.
This is a very exciting time for both Epik & domain investors as they both realize the potential they poses when partnering together. Rob recently introduced EpikBucks which is poised to solve a major problem in the domain industry- liquidity. You can acquire EpikBucks by either attending the conference or by selling domains to Epik. EpikBucks are used to acquire domains at the Epik auction or for development.
I took Epik’s services for a test drive before I started promoting it. My relationship with Epik began about 2 months ago and I have nothing but the kindest things to say about Rob and Luke Webster. Rob is very responsive and communicates directly with his customers which is something I personally enjoy. I have an appointment with Luke at 9am to further strategize on the direction and monetization of two domains on the Epik platform. As the sites continue to move up in the search engine results page aka serps I will post about the progress that is being made.
The only question that is left lingering is whether or not Epik should be more selective about its approach to development. Is the platform fully scalable to efficiently develop, optimize and convert traffic for millions of domains? Only time will tell.
Quote: “At the site level, we are fusing the three C’s of the web: Content, Community and Commerce. We believe that domains can be the organizing nucleus around the themes. You can then direct navigate to a site that has the content you seek, a knowledgeable community and if appropriate products and services that are relevant.”-Rob Monster
